I love working at a community hospital where we all are working together to deliver excellent care to our neighbors. Even better, we get to do it while living in a beautiful town at the beach.

Although I have only been part of the group a little over a year, I appreciate the family-based mentality of the group. A group of physicians who work for themselves and work to make their community better.

I am living the dream of raising my family in a coastal community, while getting the chance to enjoy the things I love and practice emergency medicine with many caring and talented individuals.

My wife and I loved to visit Lewes and the Delaware beaches and ultimately hoped to retire here some day. Now we are able to live and raise our family in this idyllic setting and I am privileged to work with this great group of Physicians!

I enjoy working at Beebe because it is a community hospital. I like the team work between the hospital, the nurses and the physicians. It feels like family.

I had always been interested in the small beach town of Lewes, DE after passing it many times while working summers as a lifeguard in Ocean City, MD. Having the opportunity to live, work, and raise a family here, I have not been disappointed. We love the natural beaches, the historic town, and the welcoming people. Having a great group of colleagues at Sussex Emergency Associates and a supportive health system in Beebe Healthcare only adds to the many reasons that Southern Delaware can't be beat for a great work/life balance.

My wife and I chose to move to and work in Lewes because the area offers year round activities and a great environment to raise a family. I chose to become an owner and put down roots because of my co-workers, an equitable practice, and how easily we've become a part of the community.

The only thing better than being an owner of a democratic group that values work-life balance is getting to live in Lewes.  With beautiful beaches, state parks, bike trails and great restaurants Lewes is the perfect fit for me.

We are lucky to work with such a good group of people who are not only co-workers, but friends as well.  The surrounding community, and close knit feel, has been fantastic with a strong network of young families with kids.  The medical center provides us with significant resources, available around-the-clock, to provide top notch patient care.

I have had the pleasure to practice in several different work environments: from large, academic medical centers to very rural hospital systems. I am fortunate that I now have had this opportunity to work at Beebe Healthcare for the last several years. Our private, democratic group consists not only of colleagues, but also friends. The Hospital is constantly striving to ensure the best patient care experience possible. The quality of life in this region is another major positive to working with S.E.A..

When my wife and I moved here in 1999, our goal was to return to New York in a few years. We never left. With great beaches, restaurants, and a small town feel, it is a wonderful area to raise children. It is terrific to work for a democratic group alongside colleagues who are also friends. The area and Beebe Healthcare have grown tremendously and have a lot to offer.

Working with S.E.A. Since 1999 has been a great choice for me and my family.  I am fortunate to work with a talented group of people I consider my friends.    The community has grown significantly since I first moved here.  That growth has been a challenge for the hospital and S.E.A.  The fact that we are a democratic group allows everyone to participate in making the decisions which directly affect your work/life balance.

S.E.A. is a truly democratic group of young board certified emergency physicians.  The group was founded in 1998, however the current average physician age is less than 45.
We are located in an amazing community located at the beach. We are fortunate to live where most only vacation.  It is truly an exceptional location.

When leaving residency, like many I had concerns about working in a community hospital away from big resources.  Beebe Healthcare is a community hospital doing large things.  We have a mature trauma system that has been in place for almost 20 years.  Beebe Healthcare has also developed an exceptional cardiovascular program involving stroke and acute MI's.  Lewes is an exceptional small town and beach community.  Great schools, restaurants, community, activities keep it active year round.  Making the choice to move to Lewes has been one my family has never regretted.  The small town feel really allows one to grow in the community.
